Sort of like the entire gaming thing, really. :)
So here's my take on an OSR Logo. Obviously drawing inspiration from TSR's logo… but taking it further and ending up with something new.
Edit: As requested, in Old School Blue
Update: At Jeff Rients suggestion... more 'O'

Nice.
That is cool. Might I suggest one version in Module Map blue? :)

Thanks. :)
It's all vector artwork so the colours can be swapped and stuff. I was thinking of making a version with the solid black replaced with hatching. :)
That's a great logo. Love the callback to the graph paper.
I like this much better... I hate the red, white, and black color scheme of the one floating around.
Totally agree with Arkhein... Old School Blue would seal the deal.
Check the post again - I just added Old School Blue. :)
I dig it. I must have this on a shirt.
Delicious Old School blue... YES!
@Carl: Yeah, I'd like this on a shirt too. I'll make it happen. :)
I like this a lot more than the original OSR logo
Very cool Stuart. I like both!
I like it!
Awesome Stuart. I likes.
I love the concept. Love the blue version. My one concern is that the O looks less like an O. May I suggest moving the O room up 10' and left 10', completeling the circle and then moving the door connecting the O room to the S room?
Wait - ten foot squares or five foot? This could be a new school trick! ;)
Absolutely great - finally a great logo I can use for Gaia Gamma, my personal old school revisioning of Gamma World (http://www.gaia.gamma.com).
Wow - glad you guys like it. :)
I've put up a new version with Jeff's suggestion for making the O more readable. Let me know what you guys think!
I'm looking into getting some T-Shirts done (I'd like one) so if you want on board with that, please send me an email.
Top and Bottom are equally awesome. Job well done!
Thumbs up!
Love the first old school blue FWIW. Any way you slice it, awesomeness oozes out!

Absolutely fantastic and perfect, thanks Stuart.
Perfect!
Thanks a bunch! I'll use the revised one.
Nice! I love that, perfect!
Love it!
This is just what I'd been hoping for all along, perfect.
Awesome stuff! I'm gonna have to yoke this ;)
I shall use this!
I agree, absolutely brilliant!
The latest one really is perfect. Now once more in black please ;-)
@Thoma Biskup: There you go. :)
Jesus, I may have to finally cave and put this on my blog.
late to the party, but just wanted to leave a big thumbs up here. :)
This is great. I have already got it on my blog. Thank you.
Consider this yoinked and posted about :)
On second thought. I wonder if the S could be expanded one square to even it out with the O and R - such that it doesn't infringe on either (put differently, so they each take up 3x3)
How would you feel about a hand-drawn one in the style of my standard maps & geomorphs to add to the options (using the same design)?
Also late to the party, but this is super sweet! Good move! When I eventually get some money, I'll be getting one of those T-shirts.
@Dyson: I would feel great about that. Do it!
Thanks!
I love this logo!
Stuart, you should put "*it stands for "Oh S***! RUN!!!" on the shirt somewhere (per comments in this post) http://rathergamey.blogspot.com/2011/05/it-still-hasnt-sunken-in-yet.html
"Oh S***! RUN!!!" is now my favourite version of what OSR stands for! :D
LOVE IT.
Stuart: I really love the more O version, especially in OS blue. But somewhere I found a version where the blue on the outside was completely filled out to make a rectangle around the logo. Did you make that version as well, or was someone tweaking your work? I'm having trouble locating it and giving appropriate credit.
I made a version like that, but I don't think I posted it here. :)
Hmm...well, I posted it on my blog, so I found it somewhere! In any event, I wanted to point folks in the right direction.
I think I need to use it. I prefer the blue "more O" version.
Just ordered a shirt for Gen Con.
Hey Stuart, thanks for the amazing logo! I'm going to use it (the black more O version) when I publish my book of spells, and was wondering what text to include in the credits. I'm not that familiar with Creative Commons... Would something like this be ok? "OSR logo: Copyright 2011 Stuart Robertson. Used under license: Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported (CC BY 3.0)."
Very nice. I may end up using this.
Hi Stuart, I love your OSR logo and would like to use it on some pads of printed character sheets. Along the same lines as Gavin's question above I just want to check what text to add. On my draft I've added "OSR logo by Stuart Robertson - creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/"
The sheet would look better without any additional text and I'm not adding my own copyright to it but I obviously need to obtain your permission to print them without it.
The logo looks great.
Bravo. A powerful revolution needs a powerful symbol. I believe with this design you just became a footnote in RPG history. Well done.
This is great stuff! Thanks a lot!
May I use this logo on my OSR-related blog? If so, are there any conventions as to placement or linking?
